Troubleshooting

Avatar Publishing Fails Immediately

Ensure that a .vrm file has been selected and that the avatar name field is populated. The avatar name must be unique within the account, as it is used as the identifier for uploaded avatars.

Avatar Preview Appears Incorrect

Import the .vrm file into Blender or an online VRM viewer and verify that the model itself is configured correctly. In Adamas Hub, the avatar's face should be oriented perpendicular to the z-axis. If the issue originates in the source file, the .vrm must be corrected and exported again.

Uploaded Avatar Image Is Incorrect

If the uploaded avatar image is incorrect, delete the existing avatar and upload it again. The platform does not currently support editing an uploaded avatar in place. Use the My Avatar page to remove the existing upload before publishing a replacement.

Meshes Block the First-Person View in VR

Any mesh that should not obstruct the first-person view should be marked as Third-Person Only. This is typically configured by the VRM author. For more detail, see First-Person Face Occlusion Requirements. Users may also import the .vrm into Blender, adjust the setting, and export the file again.

Avatar Size Does Not Match the User in VR

Open Settings from the in-VR menu and adjust the User Height slider. This setting calibrates the size relationship between the user's physical body and the avatar body. Increase or decrease the value until the scale feels appropriate.
